About I was on the platform as a subway was pulling in. Before it reached the end of the platform the power on the entire northeastern USA. The train made an eeeery scretching sound and came to a stop. The emergency lights, run off of the train batteries, came on. Fortunately I had my digital camera with me. I used my own body to steady the camera since I had no tripod with me.
