Hi Gunter,
First off, I must say I like your title and the explaination for it. Then, I have been studying this flower trying to determine what kind of flower it is! (have to admit, I don't know what it is!) But that doesn't stop me from being able to appreceiate your expertly photographed image! It's truly beautiful, and the composition I also like. I love the DOF!! (and the fibers/hairs on the flower!!!) AMAZING indeed! AND SHARP!! tHE WARM LIGHTING IS WONDERFUL...you can barely see the light through the petals, so nice. Good job my friend, and I also made it a favorite!

ps...thanks for the nice comments on my photographs! And for some info...Yes, it is too bad the G2 dosen't have the bracketing for the focus, I had no idea that some cameras had that option, that is such a good feature! IF you don't use the 250D for the flowers, what do you use it for? (Just curious!!)
