Ah, yes...Buchanan Dam! There's some great raptor-spotting in that area.

This shot has soooo much detail. Nice job. I feel really bad for this bird to have lost its wing. My grandparents retired to Austin, and when I would visit them, they would take me to this dam that had bald eagles... they are an amazing creature.

An empathetic capture of a magnificent creature. It's fitting that it will live out it's life being cared for. Thanks for shareing Paul. Thank you too for your comments on my Southerly Storm picture. It was a case of knowing the area, the prevailing weather conditions and the F8 and be there. Regards John

Maybe he had a broken wing, but you can;t see that on the picture! On the picture it still looks like a proud brid. Wonderfull focus on the bird, that makes me forget the door at the right, and than it looks like a free bird! Wonderfull picture, and i think it is a pitty he has to loos his wing, his wonderfull black featherd wing :'(

Paul, I really like the darkness of this shot, the background, while similar in color with the eagle, actually compliments it. This bird still has a determined look in its' eye! Nicely done. .Brad
