dear kristina, you are right, i don't miss snowstorms and strong, hard winters of germany. if i miss anything, then it is the wonderful landscape and the wonderful people living there who i have the privilege to know. but as i have lived there for all of my life so far i am not really homesick. i loved to travel for my life, and even at my age i still do. at the moment i appreaciate to learn more about my new home country spain and endeavour to learn more of the language, habits and history. not to forget, i do enjoy that here i only encounter snow when we want to go skiing in the nearby sierra or in the pirenees or the sierra nevada. thank you for your kind considerations. besos charlie.f.kohn@sixpence-pictures.com // madrid

dear graham, no question could be more normal: the sun is down and no moon coming up soon. the lighting is coming from very close to the walls, like "streaming". this is the best i can describe the situation.
thanks to all for the very positive comments. maybe after almost one week off for travel i can continue regularly. best regards charlie.f.kohn@sixpence-pictures.com // madrid

This is great Charlie, I love the inky blackness contrasting with the golden colour of an ancient temple. The reflection is great but the eye keeps looking for something more among the blackness. Is that the sun just coming up or the moon. I know it's a stupid question but how is the building being illuminated? Regards, Graham.

Ps. Not about photo, but I forgot to say that you probably don't miss Germany now when it's snowstorm there! ;-) I have been to Germany many times, and it's a wonderful country! Nature so extremely clean and beautiful! And people, first a little bit stiff but oh so friendly and kind if you once start talking to them. Hehe... I have been standing on autobahn stopping cars and saying "Enschuldigung, haben sie ein pump?" ;-))) (Long time ago when I was teen ager and we got a hole in the car wheel).

Don't worry about the ratings, Charlie, because the important thing remains: That this is a really really wonderful shot! I think that people are just so different in rating. Some always start 7/7 and only rate lower if they see "bad" things, while other start from 1/1 and only rate higher if something is extremely full filled and fantastic with originality that has never seen before.
I like the extreme darkness and how beautiful the light is in it. Perfect photo quality as well, and fantastic reflection!
