The angle, in my opinion, is what represents the title. It gives the impression that if someone was on the ladder they would not know which way to go, up or down, or is a metaphor for the proverbial "fork in the road", or no future. Great shot.

Great shot! Very dynamic composition, and excellent contrast. I like the detail of the barb wire, absolutely uninviting. Looking at the thumbnail I didn't understand the title, as the stairs provide a way out, but when I saw the barb wire, it fell into place. Well done!
