Thanks for posting the detail - would be nice to see the original print of course. Seems like a wide border for the expensive process you are using. Great stuff!

no no i LOVE the border!!! maybe cos it looks more artsy than technical photographical....if that makes sense. there's a fine border between photography and art such as painting and i do mixed media and i totally like the extra stuff this picture has including the process that isn't so technical but artsy.... :)

Both images are excellent, Caroline. This photo deserves a bigger size. In the image without the border, the sharpness and DOF are great and visible. Regards.

I like the brushed border (I love doing alternative processes too). I'd really like to see it larger though, I can't really get a feeling for the image as it's so small. Could you rescan and make the image larger? (Maybe 500x500 pixels) or so?
