I'm the managing editor for the Avion newspaper at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. A few photographers and myself bugged the airport enough to let us come out and take pictures of this C17. It carried the president's support equipment, including the limos.
Lcas, nice perspective and I like the line that runs straight from under the nose wheel. Do you know www.JetPhotos.net ? If not try posting it there too. www.airliners.net is another one but they are REALLY picky about what they accept (pro quality only). JetPhotos is a little less picky and more for the enthusiast. Given the nice job you've got you probably already know all this!
Yea, the speedway in the back kinda makes the right side of the plane (viewer's left) look a bit dark. Oh well...I wish I would have had a wider lens on the camera, but I only have the 35-80mm lens. I can try to make it a bit brighter on photoshop when I have some more time. Thanks for the comments though! I'm just a beginning photographer. I looked at some of your other pics and they are beautiful!
These Globe Masters are huge piece of equipment. How far back did you have to stand to get this in? The shot is a little dark perhaps it could be lightened up in post to show more of the detail on the right hand side. It is mostly lost in shadows
