Dave, the DOF was from the camera and not Photoshop. I had pleasant results with this roll of film, so I need to get more! It was also my first time using a professional photo lab rather than the 1 hour developer, and I also noticed a difference in the quality of my prints. Aside from getting an actual b & w photo, there weren't any dust spots from their developer! Any spotting would be from my scanner...

This is an excellent picture, Christine! Don't know if your DOF was in-camera or from Photoshop but it works very well to frame the pup! Excellent choice of film, too

Very nice rich tones, especially in the shadows and blackened areas. Excellent portrait, with nice blur-motion in the background. This film is like a European Tri-X to me with very good silver content. Freestyle used to sell this in bulk rolls as Arista 400.

John, yes! There is a dog under there... somewhere. I took this right before his bath & hair cut. He doesn't even look like the same dog after he's groomed.
He's fun to photograph. Animal or human, he's the only one who will 'sit pretty' for me for more than 5 seconds!
