About My daughter again. Pic was in colour but I liked it converted to black and white. I used my speedlite on a tripod and my remote transmitter on my camera. The flash was bounced on the ceiling, and a piece of white card attached to the flash to direct some light into Jenny's eyes.

Oh! Such a wonderful portrait...Your daughter absolutely beautiful. Excellent lighting...
I like your portfolio and your children photos. And, how interesting, I have in this site "Little Lady" too, and I think she the same age. Lovely photo...
Warm regards,
Lena

I just logged on and can't quite believe that one of my pictures is on the home page!!!
Thanks to all of you for the comments.
The 2 variations are good, and the crop submitted by Karen works really well.

A truly delightful portrait, one your daughter will be proud to own even when she is an adult. The angle of your daughter's head made me want to turn my own head to one side, and when I did, I found it worked almost as well in the vertical format, which I attach. Strangely, it makes her look much younger. I suppose it is harder to read someone's age when their face is at an unusual angle. You are fortunate indeed to have such a beautiful model. The textures of skin and hair are not only beautiful in themselves but exquisitely rendered. I have similar good experiences converting colour into B&W. It can work very well indeed, as here.

Very lovely portrait. Nice use of reflections to strengthen the center of composition. Her face looks soft and it works well here accentuating delicacy of her skin. Great job.

I like this alot Sarah. I do think that a little tighter crop would improve composition. The line between the blanket and pillow keeps pulling my attention. I have made a crop. See what you think. Hope you dont mind. She is a doll.

Thanks for your comments on my pics. My daughter is 3, will be 4 in a couple of weeks.

Very nice lighting on this. Well done.

this is such a beautiful portrait - you take better portraits than all those trendy portriat companies around Cardiff at the moment! I always think the eyes are very important in any portrait - and your daughters look absolutely briliant - very mischievous! and the catch lights in them are fab.
