Dear Emgy, excellent capture!!!
I am sorry about the bad luck you got with your new Canon Rebel camera you ordered. That is very unusual with Canon with a new order. About 2 months back, I was comtemplating of sending my Canon G3 back to Canon in USA for a repair because I thought it was responding slowly when taking pictures and I thought it started having more noise. But I decided not to because I wanted to take pictures of the Fall which I didn't do last year. I am glad I didn't send back because now I realize there is nothing wrong with the camera. It's just a problem with my mentality :) When the Rebel news broke out, I was wishing I owed one. It seems a very reasonably priced yet professional grade camera. So, you should feel glad you decided to buy. I am sure you will like it alot. My dream camera someday is the Canon 10D, which I wish to owe once it falls below US $1,000. I can't wait to see your new beautiful images with the Rebel. I wish you the best of luck with the arrival before Christmas. Sometimes it could help if you continue to escallate and bug Canon every week otherwise you can ask for discounts because it should never happen with a brand new order like that. As always, sincere thanks for your comments on my work. Best regards.

No, Charlie, a Sony Mavica FD73, like the one I have, has no polarizer. In fact it is a very simple old camera I bought years ago and you cannot do very little with it. It even has only 0,3miljon pixels. You can read about it at http://www.dpreview.com/ (at the bottom of the page that describe sony digital cameras there is a list of older models. I ordered an SRL digital and some extra lenses at the end of September but I haven't got it yet. It seems to be a very popular camera at present and apparently, lots of people want to have such a camera. It's a Canon EOS 300D. You can read about this camera on the same site. I love abstracts a lot. I have many abstracts taken with my present camera but they are poor quality. I have some interesting ideas about I want to sase until I have my new camera. Hopefully my work will then improve Thanks for your comment

well emgy, for somebody who only occasionally takes abstracts, this one is extraordinarily perfect. a strong idea, minimalistic composition and perfectly captured. what else? maybe a polarizer would have helped to increase the blue of the sky. but i am afraid a sony mavica, which i don't even know, does not allow or have a polarizer? thank you for your nice comment on #approaching shadow' regards charlie.f.kohn@sixpence-pictures.com // madrid

What a wonder the sky brings into a shot, we need to look up more often! I like the con-trail it makes for an interesting abstract with all the triangular shapes.
