I can safely say I've never seen such a bug. I love its shiny blue colour, though I would hesitate to call it cute. ;p It would be nice to see a bit more light/exposure on the bug's back in order to fully appreciate its colour and markings. What makes this photo for me are the leaves in the background. The semicircle created by the larger leaf makes a subtle frame for the subject.
