Our children look so beautiful when they're sleeping... lovely shot, perfect treatment. I have a sleep disorder so maybe it would help if I hung this on my ceiling. It's so serene and peaceful... takes my blood pressure down a couple of notches just looking at it. The poem is wonderful -- especially to have it penned at 17. Now I'm humming the Janis Ian song...

In Transit, yes it is a learning process and someday I'll know what I did! ;)
Seeing you have all gone, safe to share the 'poem', not planned , as my PS work just pours out of me. ;)
DREAMTIME
Sighing lethargic night,
Wispy clouds slink past the moon,
Its rays illuminate the land and sea
Casting ghostly shadows forth,
To mingle in the depths of sight.
Singing, sweeping sea.
Lapping around my feet
Threading lace like patterns on the sand.
Flesh enveloped in natures clasp,
Leafy fingers fondle my limbs.
Cool and wet the nighttime dew.
The sea now only a distant , sweeping song
In the still of evening time.
Onward my body journeys,
Searching the darkness for gentle comfort.
My mind at rest beneath the black expanse
Of necklaced stars and soft rayed moon.
But soon the night dies its gentle death,
To bring forth a newborn day.
The world awakes to stop my wondering
And life begins and dreams do end.

"A poem is a dream, dreamed in the presence of reason." That's what stuck me once I realized the image was staring back. [from a late Rensisance Spanish Jesuit......Tomaso...something..???..can't remember] Also, there's a sense of memory of an illustration from a beloved childhood book. Simply wonderful!!!!

Peta;;;;what more can be said,,,This is absolutely amazing. In thumbnail I thought I caught a glimpse of a face & was I surprised when it opened. I was going to write, the clouds look like the form of a face! lol. Well done. Added to my favorites.

This is beautifully done Peta. You've integrated the clouds and face very well-- and congratulations on the early Ranking-- I suspect this one will go higher. Brooke makes an excellent subject.
