Good going with the IR filter. I've been playing with one of those too, wondering how to make it productive. Nice shot! You commented on my "Sparrows" that a tripod would've made the shot better. Maybe it would, but on the other hand, those little guys move around so fast, it was a flitting opportunity (no pun intended) that setting up the tripod would have made me miss. I've been getting acceptably sharp results with the Image Stabilizer on my Panasonic; sometimes it affords me shots that aren't available other ways.
