Sal, this is a very nice mood image. I agree with the other comments that there is too much empty space on top. If there was even a hint of something most of it could remain. the green against the grey really works here.
to answer your question Mendacino is north of San Francisco about 60 miles. Beautiful place!

I like this kind of "moody" image. It's nicely done. I think I might crop off some of the top though. It just doesn't need all that brightness I don't think-- make it a square image?
