About A monoleg Black Crown Night Heron (resting position) seemed to look at the fast current of the river go by him. It was taken very early in the morning (7:05AM).

I am alway fascinated by the bird's ability to stay still for sometimes long minutes. Last year, I have done a long exposure (8 seconds night shot) and it was perfectly clear. That big bird doesn't move to make sure the they mix well with the background.

Taken with a long tele lens at around 165 feet away ...
