My ex burnt every 35mm print and slide I had from 7-45 years of age. I have had to start over with my photography the last few years and went digital because of the ease of printing and working with. My wife had CS2 for her business so I have it on my computer to. I think Neatimage has some great features for the noise removal. I have not had a lot to put in for software either. I have been working with PS for a year and have learned a lot and know how little I still now about it. I am just happy with a camera near by and a chance to use it. Your shots have been good inspiration. Thanks for the imput.. Be well, Stan

Thank you mutlu. I was standing on thick soft moss with my tripod, so I couldn't get a 1 or 2 second exposure. I am guessing this was 1/4 second? Longer would have been my choice too. I appreciate you comments.

I use an old PS program. I was never interested much in digital so I only do the basics with the program........... mainly color balancing and contrast. I don't have a clue as to how to use most of the program. I also use Neatimage to do noise removal and sharpening if needed. Funds are not so good as work is slow, so new programs are not in the plan right now.
Besides that, life used to be so simple ......you just took the photo and it was either good or bad. Most of these photos were at one time made into a print and I used a good lab to do them. The CD I have these images on is pretty decent considering the cost to convert them, but not near the quality as they are in a finished print. The lab made a 3" by 5" interneg from the slides to do the prints. Sadly, they are out of business as of this year. I will check out the programs you mentioned. Thanks Stan.

No reflector needed, you captured the early morning light well. I think the flow of water and the overall feeling of the tranquil green says it all. Photoshop is well worth having and if not Lightroom is a great tool as well. Much out there for the pickings. I did buy Silver Efex for a b/w plugin. It is a great addition to PS. You have some great shots up so far. What do you use for editing? Be well, Stan

Thank you mutlu. I do agree, but I recall that I was pushing the limits here with slow film. (this is 1994 or so and my memory is not THAT good ;) )
My tripod was on soft mossy ground like the moss you see beyond the log. I was lucky to get what time that I got on this one. Walking on the moss was like walking on a soft bed. I don't remember, but possibly 1/4 second exposure? One or two seconds would have made the water flow show much better. Thanks again for your input.

I wish I knew photoshop so I could "repair" a little of the darkness. Being on Kodachrome, I don't thing a lot can be done. I tried using "levels" to balance it and maybe I could do more. I never did buy any decent graduated filters, but one sure would have helped this image. Moss on the left is a little burnt out and too dark downstream. Maybe I should have carried a 30 by 30 reflector for fill light. ;) I was an early morning shot and standing on some squishy and thick moss at the time, so I wasn't sure if I could get it sharp enough. Taken on either Kodachrome 25 or 64. Thank you Stan. I may try this one again just for the fun of it.

Magical light and color, lens does not matter with the capture as nice as this. good colors and exposure, maybe a little dark for me but still very nice.
