Thank you Gary. I searched the internet for photos of this comet at this particular state of perspective looking for the same star pattern in the background. ... I wanted to find the exact date of my photo. No luck so far. Hyakutake moved so rapidly during each night that I cannot find a star pattern to match my photo............. there must be 10's of thousands of images of this comet in various stages of development. I feel so lucky that I was able to capture this one. Thanks again.

Thank you for viewing and commenting, Saad. When I look up at night it gives me a great perspective on how small we really are in comparison to the entire universe. Is the universe large, or are we small? ;)

Thank you very much Ray. I wish another comet would come along that was as visually close as this one was. I don't know if you saw it or not. Hyakutake came fast and left that way too. It went from being a small fuzzy spot in the sky, to having a very long tail, and then shrinking back into a small fuzzy spot in just a weeks duration as I recall. I could detect using my small binoculars that in a few hours time, it had moved slightly in relation to the surrounding stars. Thank you again, these were fun to do.

Thank you Randy. I'm no astronomy major but I like looking up when I can especially so when the unusual happens. You have great initials by the way. ;) Mine are RWL
