Hmmm... non no,the biggest discoveries were not accidents at all, even if most people believe that, Avi. Most of them were very very systematically sought and found. Luck may help on the way, but luck is not the reason. It is only a part-time ally.
But as you say, for some of us that "part-time" of luck tends to be neglectible! ;-)
yeah, absolutely !.. I, for one, is no HCB (who almost always KNEW the moment to click), and for another, am a big believer that great discoveries happen by accident...
toruble is, that accident doesn't seem to happen with me... darn !! :):):):):):):) cheeeeeeers !!! Avi
Thanks a lot Avi, and guess what? You simple and sincere down to earth attitude is both a big help for any photographic objectives as also for deeply human and not "artist's" humor. ;-)
That's why I like guys like you, or Andre, or Indranil, and all the rest.
So, you got it exactly! Most if the time it is a disaster. And how nice to know that there are still some guys around with which I can just sut down and see why it was a disaster. ;-) Instead of inventing aftewards "artistic" excuses, that is! ;-)
I like you guys really, you my megalomaniacs!! ;-)
I know what you are saying.. well, I can tell you how I think about things when I try them ... to begin with, mostly they end as being disasters...:):) .. but hey, we are the Merry-men, right ? So, I keep trying, till I feel that I got close enough to what I set out to do.. so, basically, for me, it's always the 'look' or the 'feel' that I set out to achieve..
No, no, honestly I tell you, I didn't have a single glass before shooting this one, Avi! OK, it was one, but no more. Oh well, OK, make it one and a half! No, not bottles, I mean glasses! ;-)
Seriously now, Avi, as you can see many of the images that I upload in recent days are (trying to be) "soft focused". This time the fog seemed to be good for an additional dose of softness by focus, or so I thought, but the result went solala in the best case. And as I already said, I have no clue when it works and when it doesn't and this is the main reason for uploading them. What is that, that makes this one different from, say, "Order and monotony"? The same amount of soft focus more or less, but they look different.
So, I hope that having looked at several such images along with all guys here, we perhaps can tell at the end what is the difference made of.
