I dissagree with Bill...this is just PERFECT!!
The exact petal "with lack of detail, and tone" is giving life to this B&W creation :)
....sometimes 2 much of techique forcing within the mind can lead to sterile result - which is a big difference from perfection..
My best compliments, dear Jason! :)

Very well executed. Nice tonal range and composition. However, my preferrence would be to eliminate the Petal? behid the 2 in the foreground. It lacks detail, and tone and is distractiong to me.
