Great! That was what I hoped to read, Andre! That more of them are coming up! :-)
Thanks a lot again for the small story on the making. Such things that happen so fast are a case for themselves, I guess. So the main element on such images is the presence of action. Of course sometimes you get lucky with obe thing and unlucky with some other, but still the image can absolutely convey that action.
The jets... Well, I have to be ready, but the thing is... *when* do I have to do that? You know, those things are gone before you can here them and so until you fetch the camera it is already too late. Only chance I have is when they make some repeated maneuvres over my place. In summer perhaps I couls get a chance, but even then it will be hard.
The other solution of course would be to go to the transports museum here in Lucern and get some images of the planes and the modules of the mercury project that they have there. Then I could add some sky & clouds as background and get the job done. ;-)
Cheers!
Nick

There will be more to come Nick. On this one, I got lucky with the light in one respect. But unlucky in another. I like the back-lit sand/ice mixture behind the car. As you say, it adds to the action and intrest. However the light was very strong on the left side of the images I took, which gave me a lot of glare and a bit of a washed out look on the left side. Over-all I was pretty happy with most of the shots taken that day.
You will just have to be ready with your camera Nick. The military doesn't like to announce their fly-bys. Occasionally the Canadian Forces run training flights near our cottage. They fly quite low over the river and forest. It seems one second they are there and then they are gone. Also never allowing me time to get a picture. Andre

The master of racing is back - and I assume never really away form this subject, ey? ;-)
Nice to see some more images of racings, Andre. For some reason they are much much less often here than I would expect though the subject is very interesting. The car stands in a very good contrast to the rest of the image. Actually blue against almost yellow and so the complementary colors did their work very well. The cloud of dust behind the car is another good enhancement of action here. The car just "spits out of hell". ;-)
Though under such conditions of fast changing views and rapidly ongoing events it is hard to find the right focus, I still sharpened it a bit just for the sake of that car full of details.
If I may ask you, just continue with this subject! I am not necessarily car crazy but I am "freeze up motion" crazy, and what could be a better subject for that that racings? So, you have at least one real fan!
BTW... you know, when I see such images of yours, I get real appetite for doing the same with jets, but the problem is that swiss military won't inform me about when the next F/A 18 flies some 100 feet over my place! ;-)
Cheers!

An excellent action shot my dear Andre and how lucky to choose the right position for the capture my friend. Fabulous details, pin sharp and with great tones. Well done to you my friend. Ian is getting worse and I haven't been about in UF for a week so I am now busy catching up. I shall be going back up to London again tomorrow and oh how I wish I had overuled the family and brought Ian closer to me down here to keep a better eye on him. Such is life my friend, such is life. My very best wishes to you Andre as always.......Ray

Great action shot, Andre, and that backlit snow and dust really adds to it! Don't worry about "boring" us with shots like this, either! Dave.
