What I thought was a little wasp feeding peacefully within the tiny white clusters of wild choke cherry blossoms turned out to contain a beautifully sinister scenario- a perfectly camouflaged spider feeding on that tiny wasp. Such stealth. This very tiny spider looks almost invisible within it\'s realm. In fact I didn\'t even spot it until after I shot the image. Evolution does work, said the spider.
I almost missed this dramatic event because the thumbnail didn't make it clear what was going here. But this is a very vivid moment in natural selection and well caputured. Nice work.
My husband suggested I look, and so very glad I did... What a brilliant surprise... the spider is magnificent and so cleverly disguised... nature is a miracle at work...
