AJ - Thanks for the comments. I like your suggestion of a frame and will give it a shot. It was taken with a 300mm. I did crop just a tad around the edges to get the tighter view. Once again, good suggestion on the framing.

This is always going to be a tough one, but it looks pretty sharp to me, especially on the eyes. I assume this is taken @ 300mm or thereabouts, rather than cropped, so your DOF is bound to be shallow. You might get the eyes and feathers sharp, but the beak is going to be problematic.
Striking and aggressive. I like it. Some sort of frame would be nice, even if just a single pixel black border to hold it in against the background.

I like this shiot of yours more than the other one of the same bird. The anger and the natural violence of the bird is more abvious in this pic. Intensity is a good title. Focus seem exposure perfactly alright. I only wish the frame weren't this much tight. Thank you for sharing it with us.
