About I put these cobs out for the squirrels to keep them away from the bird feeders; they eat these quickly and then go back to the feeders. You have to love them!

I am glad you enjoyed seeing "Nutty Boy"; he is one of my favorites of all the backyard squirrels.

Wow ... I just love this shot.. it's awesome ... great details and sharpness.. and I love the blurred background.. so the squirrels sure are really smart ... I think you're right they probably think it's some kind of weapon .. anyway.. you've managed to capture a great photo here.. I really Like it.... Thank you for the reply dear Jan .. I really appreciate it :)
Warm Regards..

It is funny that you ask. I have some long shots of my squirrels and when I am NOT carrying a camera they let me get close to them. But when I have a camera, for some unknown reason, they will run away as soon as I lift up the camera. I think they think the camera is some kind of weapon. They are very smart and have good survival skills.

Doyle--
LOL-- Are you saying you are squirrely?
These guys cannot be denied. I have tried all the usual squirrel barriers and deterrents and yet their problem-solving and acrobatics always overcome.
So..... I figure there is plenty of food to go around for the birds and the squirrels; why not let them have at it? They are as much fun to watch as the birds; just not as challenging to identify and classify.
A friend has purchased an electrified bird feeder that spins whenever the squirrels get on it and it flings them off. Can't see doing that.
--Best to you, Jan

Love it! How can you NOT love the cute guys? Plus, they're genius . . . rodent versions of myself! :P
