About Here's another shot of Taylor. I asked her face into the key light (my 4' reflector) and this is what I got. I like it - you?

A really magic light achieved, Paul!
I seems a film scene! Great detail on the subject that seems to come out of the screen.
Best regards, Paolo

I'm afraid I agree with Russ...she's got this fixed stare...like she's hypnotized, or a zombie. Sorry, Paul.

I do like the lighting, it was one of the first things I noticed. Nice location as well, I find it challenging finding spots like this along the road. Well seen. I also like the dull earthy tones to this picture.

great shot paul but i must admit i find this image just a little disturbing. there's something in the wide-eyed, fixed stare that makes me want to know what she's looking at. or not want to know...
cheers
russ

Thanks, Avi. That gradient on the left is natural, too because of the reflector; that's not photoshop.

Whether it is a flash, a studio strobe or in this case, even a modest reflector, that catch light adds SO much to a model's eyes that it's almost not worth shooting without it.

you always have such wonderful light in your portraits. this shot is wonderful on so many levels, from the soft colors to the dreamy expression on her face, but her eyes are especially amazing.

I'M impressed that Anne gave more than a 3-word reply! :)

Thank you Anne, this means a lot.

It was very cloudy, which helped soften the light, but there was precious LITTLE available light to work with, which is why I had my assistant so close to her with my 4-foot reflector camera left.

Without that, this shot would have been unremarkable.
