About The histogram of this one demonstrates very clearly, I think, that no light "norms" should be taken too absolutely. Correcting this one the usual way would remove any light gradation in the flowers and would turn the softness of the photo to something very different.

Any opinions?

Fabio, thanks a lot for the reply.

It is not as much the norms that kill arts, but rather the idea that any deviation from the norms has to be automatically arts. Arts of course *has* to ignore norms when necessary - but that doesn't mean that ignoring a norm is arts for itself.

Having said that, I do admit that I see many many great works that do not correspond to any already existing norm, and this is very good. It shows that no "photoshopic" standard can ever be strong enough by itself for creative work.

Still, the mere denial of such a standard is also not arts by itself.

Strange thing, this artistic work ;-)

Best wishes,

Nick
