The tutorial I found basically said to add and curves adjustment layer. Adjust the curve so that the far right side was brought half way down and then 25% into the curve bring it down to about 13. Then make sure you have black as your forground color and paint the highlights at an opacity of about 13% and hardness of about the same. It takes some time and thought into the painting to make it look just right. This is all done in Adobe Photoshop
