Wow! These are amazing colors! Im on more time impressed by what the nature has created! Well done! Just a note: i would have chosen a light blue for the passepartout to have the complementary color to the loud orange of the grassshopper. Many greetings, Astrid

Wow Sylvia, this ones a beaut. The colours and sharpness stand right out and focus bang on. The colours of that grasshopper seem to say stay away from me, I'm dangerous. DOF is great and it looks like you were right on top of him, well done and best regards, Art. ps hope all is going well in SA.

Hallo Sylvia how are you..?,here a nother TIP from me, If your camera has a spot meter, use it for only photographing birds. Spot metering offers a more precise metering configuration than other types of metering modes as it concentrates on a limited area on the subject.!! I ben benieuwd..:) Weltrusten en een hele fijne zondag, riny

You can wake up one morning and wonder "What is wrong with that shrub", only to find that these chaps have eaten almost all the leaves off it. Sometimes you can't see fence poles because they are covered with a seething mass of these little darlin's

They are really nasty to look at but yet, strangely beautiful too:-) There seems to be quite a few different coloured ones around from what I've seen on this site.

Hi Jim,
You can imagine how close my face was to it..3 inches max!! I even had to hold the branch to steady it a little because the wind was blowing really hard. I think I would have had a heart attack if it had jumped on my face..shudder..
