Hey Alan...thanks for stopping by. I know what you mean about driving in it, luckily I don't have to! Funny thing...today, 11 days after this storm, the snow is completely gone. Weather around here is SO inconsistent but, it's early yet...winter WILL settle in! Here's hoping (just for you) DC is snow free this year...yeah, right!
Take care...Robin

I absolutely HATE seeing this photo Robin! It just makes me think what I have coming towards me this winter. I don't mind snow if I don't have to go to work, but the comute into DC when there is ANY snow becomes torture. I hope you were able to deal with it fine yourself.

Boy, did it ever! Unfortunately, wind and frigid temps followed and I DO NOT do frigid temps...need a day warmer than 3 degrees before I venture out for any photo ops!
Thanks for stopping by Sheila, I appreciate it.
Take care...Robin

Oh! My dear Robin!! I saw that comment to Ray! I'll take Baron of SmartAleckness and YOU, my dear, can have Countess of Wisecracks. LoL! Think Ray may have edged us out in the Duke of Sarcasm category! ;)

Thank you Ray...not much else to do when it's snowing like this! I'm afraid we will not be seeing anymore 60F temps for quite some time...
Oh yes, poor Doyle...surrounded by palm trees, sand, and 80 degree temps with a watered down cocktail...how does he go on??? ;)
Take care, big hugs, and don't work too hard! Robin

I'm not exactly sure why, (wink, wink) but it might be tough convincing the CP of E powers you are TRULY empathetic. I'm thinking more along the lines of the Sultan of Sarcasm, and maybe...just maybe, HRH of Humor. Me thinks either of those crowns would be easily attained my friend!
Nice of you to visit and comment Doyle...I do love fueling your imagination and creative writing skills!
Take care...Robin

This is a beautiful Winter composition my sweet Robin and as already mentioned it would make a great seasonal card. The monochromatic conversion is excellent and suits the picturesque scene beyond the windows wonderfully well. Gorgeous work and fabulous to realise that you have put the camera to work whilst still recovering. An amazing about turn in your weather sweetie and although we can sometimes get more than one season in a day in southern England it never contains the extremes of your place . I think we should all pause and shed a tear or two for poor Marlyce and Doyle who are forced to wear so little clothing at this time of year. My heart bleeds for Doyle especially as the tears roll down his face diluting his rum cocktail
I hope you are still gathering up your strength and behaving yourself my lovely friend. My very best wishes to you as always and a great big hug.....Ray;)

You are SOOOOOOOO Lucky Robin!! How can you be inside with such picture perfect scenes awaiting?? Pooooor me . . . 80 degrees . . . no snow, no rain . . . front door open and sitting in shorts waiting for some Cristmas Postcard shots to become available. :( Think of the beauty Christmas lights in the snow would look like (if shot from the street!)
Oh for the crunch of fresh fallin' snow in the forest as I traipse out looking for a shot. Instead - we're out at the beach shooting the San Pedro Boat Christmas Parade. Oh! Oh My! Oh WOE is ME! Well . . . there is a TAD bit of frost in my freezer as I grab more ice for my Rum cocktail . . . and I have a good imagination.
Oh, by the way, the dog left the back door open last night when he let himself in and - whoa - it got fiercely COOL! Brrrrrrr. I actually turned the fans off!
BWA HAHAHAHAA.
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~
PS: Please note the aforementioned comment is tinged with my deep (sip) and utter feelings of commiseration. I am not only the King of Cool but I am considering applying for the position of Crown Prince of Empathy. Wonder if they'd consider me?

LOL Robin... Sounds like our weather here... 35 C, high fire etc and then back down to snow... Mother nature does what she does best... Suprise...
That said and done, Robin this would make a lovely card... but then you would have to get the shovels out to go and post it ~~GRIN~~...
Still nice work regardless of reason for capture... :)
Huge HUGS...
