AHA! I just KNEW a 90mm Macro lens felt wrong! :)
That explains the image a lot better . . . The wife is an LA Dodgers fan (poor thing . . . but she IS blonde) and I am an SF Giants fan. We seldom talk baseball. But we do go to games when they play each other! Apparently, here in LA . . . her fans outnumber mine . . . but what fun this image and this sport brings to mind!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Thanks for the comment Doyle...actually I used a Canon 75-300mm but forgot to change the info :( We were not very close and I did crop it down to get rid of the crowd behind the dugout.
Take care...Robin

Wow Robin . . . thanks for crediting me with the inspiration! So often I inspire people to drink instead! LoL!
:)
I do like this idea of yours for the blurry project! The motion of the arm really gives the impression that the ball is going to be really flying! Also makes it clear how painful getting hit by that flying spheroid projectile can be! I think the composition here is perfect and LOVE the two there in the dugout. I'm distracted by the field a tad . . . but can't put my finger on why . . . it just feels a bit 'off' for some reason. Perhaps there was a bit of loss during the crop / enlarge phase as I see you used a 90mm and were likely not too awful close since I gather this is a pro game(?) Then again the dugout and pitcher seem perfect . . . At any rate . . . I feel confident in telling you that this was (by definition) 'inspired' work!!
:)
Best of wishes my friend!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Thanks Ray...a little out of my comfort zone but a thought what the heck! Yes, it seems (some)pitchers are a bit less trim than their team mates...Mr. Jenks comes in to "close" the game, which means he pitches the final one or two innings.
Take care...Robin

An excellent entry to this project my dear Robin. A fabulous piece of baseball action with some extra special effects added in postwork. I know very little about baseball I'm afraid but I can't help noticing the pitcher's big tummey; do I take it that sleek athletic lines are not too important in a pitcher:):) Well done to you sweetie.... My very best wishes to you as always....Ray
