Thanks, Robin, foryour kind comment. Yes, Canon equipmewnt is great. I have been using it for years. When I switched to digital, I chose the Rebel main;y because of weight and for the same reason I chose the Tamron. I do feel that the Tamron is a great lens, a better quality than the Canon lenses. The combination of the Canon Rebel with its 1.6 factor and the 28-300mm lens is perfect for the kind of nature photography I do.

I am sure he is aware of your presence. He probably is posing just for you so that a lot of people will see him in your wonderful photo here. The reflection is lovely. MAry

Hi Bob.
Nice shot, I see the movement and concentration of the heron. I wonder if he was lucky with a nice fish at this moment.The reflexion in the water is great.
btw: I see you're working with the same camera and lens as I do (works fantastic I think!).
