My benchmark for color rendition is the first photo I posted on UF, Robert, which is still in my portfolio. That was a spring day in Florida where the sky was an intense blue, and I was shooting at an angle to minimize IR scatter from the few sky particulates that were present. Consequently, that sky when taken through my workflow came out a deep garnet color, with little red showing. The skies in NC are much paler in color and have a huge amount of particulates, consequently the light red coloration. Your images are great, either BW or complete color reversal to blue skies, Robert, and most people seem to prefer them to the red skies. Florida will do better. Regards, Anson.
This old house has lots of character that cannot be seen in the photograph, Nick, and in fact was occupied by a family until recently. It is part of what was a working farm until several years ago when the farm shut down. Glad you like it, even with the redish cast. This new camera puts a redish cast to the images that my regular camera didn't but it is in for repair. I always enjoy looking at your work. Regards. Anson
All those redish images you posted are wonderful, Anson, but this one catches my attention even more strongly since it combines the warm feeling of home, the questions about the unknown and the surrealism of a dream!
A striking example of simple things seen a different way!
Lovely composition Anson, the image fits IR perfectly.Nice IR effect.I would give it a different treatment but that doesn`t mean your treatment isn`t good, likewise you would process my images differently at least we find respect and admiration in our work. Take care. Robbie
