Ops. I meant there's no _other_ way to describe it than astonishing.

Astonishing! There's no way to describe it. Moon looks milky and the composition, with the mountain and the drawing in oposite corners of the frame, was very well done. One of my favorites, definitely. I've got to try doing some of it myself.
Congratulations, James!
Best regards,
Bruno

Dave - Thanks. I like the way the single hill-line creates a rolling hills effect. This series was much more fruitful than the Gato series. It also helps that the lines created by the moon are so smooth and fluid. See ya.

Wow, James, now this is VERY cool. I love the various shades of blue and the design you created with the moon. It almost looks like sky writing. I think this is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the nicest of your "light play". Thanks for tipping me off to it.
Best wishes, Dave

John - Thanks for stopping by. Glad you like this one.
I'm sure if you say something to Sara, you will find her to be (as I have) an understanding and reasonable person.
Please stop by later and let me know what you think of my drips.

Sure I saw somewhere that you'd put up a drop-shot today. Can't find it, so will look at this one instead!
And it's another highly creative Lux shot. I like the colours and the lovely smooth "tail" of the moon.
Just checked Sara's shot and see that I was not exactly complementary - but then I had no idea what she was trying to achieve as she didn't offer any explanation initially.

Marija - Thank you. I'm not big on titles, per se. They are really something I put up for y'all, the viewers here. But this title does give something extra to the image (which in my mind is the only reason to title anything). I appreciate your comment.
Vous parlez francais, n'est-ce pas?

This time I don't congratulate you only on the photo, but on the title as well! it's so lovely...really beautiful...I just love the 'milky' (or toothpaste eheh) look of the moon line and gradation of blue tones! excellent, james!

James...although u didn't get closer to the moon but in my point of view i think it's a very creative photo...cuz u showed three things in the photo (slope of the mountain - the sky - the moon)...this mix of those three made the photo AMAZING...and even f some people don't like ur work..don't get depressed or frustrated...they may don't understand what's the idea of the photo as i encountered with my photo :) all the best bye

Sara - Thanks. I try to give credit where credit is due.
I don't have enough zoom power on this camera to get as close as you were able. I'm glad you like this one. I probably shot around 20 images. This one may have been the best. I never can be sure what others will think, though.
I am here to learn and to offer-up what I know. I'm happy to help and happier to steal ideas.

Doyle - If you follow my Luxagraphia link in my Portfolio section above, I give a pretty good account of what I'm working at.
In a nutshell, this one is the moon setting after sunset over some mountains. The movement is all done on camera (various wiggles with my wrist).
Check out the main description and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send them my way. I'll answer whatever I am able.
