Hey Mario I like this capture as a new Idea, it been composed very well, the bat here is the basis of the story as it so expressive of the violence with the blood, you should to know that there are people hate to see anything's related to blood.. but I can see that you had done the right thing,, you called it "Violence" as a title, so anyone who had saw this title should to avoid looking at it when he be a sensitive man like (******) and remember that you'll never gratify all the ppl in this world, just please welcome the good opinions and let the "nonsensers" away. best wishes

defintely this one and by far. Kambiz, I have to totally agree with Ron on this one. Violence is never pretty but it´s something we live with. We just can´t turn a blind eye to it. Like Ron said, all yr suggtestions are good but they´re mainstream in that every photo entered in that contest will be exactly those you suggested. This one, like I said in previous comment, really stands out from the rest and like Ron said it can be used to bring attention to a subject so difficult to address. cheers

I understand your point of view, Kabiz. And i'm happy than you took time to tell me. As a participant to a contest where every other photographer will submit - a macro red rose flower - a red sport car - a red mobile phone - a red dress/cloth on a model(female/male) - a red lipstick - a red ribbon - a red book I wish to try something different, maybe it's not constructive in a peaceful way but I find this theatrical blood in my home and tried different thing with it. I wish i could have ideas with strawberry jam instead but it's not the case.
I'll keep your comment in mind for any next composition. Note to myself: Stop reading http://www.choppingblock.org/d/20010927.html
Salutation!

Although it might be this image is just your creative idea in your mind, I feel strongly VERY offensive. It is similar to another image of yours which you put it the night b4:(http://www.usefilm.com/image/1096105.html)
I can't understand why few people like you try to show violence when our societies around the world suffer from this?
I am sure you could use different subjects and concepts for the photo contest with "red" such as:
- a macro red rose flower - a red sport car - a red mobile phone - a red dress/cloth on a model(female/male) - a red lipstick - a red ribbon - a red book - and million CONSTRUCTIVE RED ideaS.
I am sorry to write you my sincere feelings about your strange and dangerous idea!

Thanks to you Ron and Ignacio! I have to submit one photo to the contest today and I have to make a choice between "violence" of "tear or blood" http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1096105
Which one should I submit?

Hey Mario! I totally agree with everything Ron has pointed out. It´s a great, bold and nicely executed image; one that really stands out from the rest. If I was to be picky I might find the dark right corner a bit distracting from the overall composition. How did it fare in the contest?

I think it is well composed. The bat is in the right spot to bring your eye into the shot. The blood looks real and the body oof makes for a very creative shot which displays some exposure techniques off really well. Love the dof and the message could be a postive one....such as STOP Domestic Violence.
