I never read other peoples comments before I leave my own. I don't want it to influence my comments. And then, I rarely read them after I post my own, since I don't want to feel stupid. But now, I've read the comments. I disagree about removing the suitcase and feet. I think it allows the viewer to understand the photo a bit more. It tells the story of what you did, without your text. Looking at the photo and understanding the feet and suitcase, I knew immediately where you were and what you were doing.
So if the old adage "every picture tells a story", then this does. By cropping out the person and leaving only his reflection, it just becomes a floor at some unknown place.
My attempt to catch the "busy traveler" on an interesting floor didn't work. I fell on my face from the standpoint that the photo was not as good as I thought. I believe I added it to my portfolio and received almost nothing. I either removed it or it is still there. I don't know, I've slept since then but I am attaching it heretofore.
Congratulations on all the contests and publications you've accomplished. Your a good photographer and I like your portfolio, which is why you are on my friends list.
Best wishes, Dave

Do you mean you LITERALLY fell down trying to get the shot, or that the shot didn't work?

Great capture, Paul. I tried this same thing at the Las Vegas airport a couple years ago and totally fell on my face. This is perfect in my opinion.
Best wishes, Dave

Dear Paul, a great abstract. I have to agree with Lori that I would crop just slightly on top but it's a minor issue (if you crop right below the shoe it makes it a "Purer Abstract" IMO. Your about sounds horrible. Why not just add a few more hours and go to an Airport Hotel for some sleep (doesn't America West have to put you up on their dime?). Shows how far down the US Airlines have all fallen. They really are not much better than the bus service these days. Should just start calling them Aeroflot (or maybe North Korean Air). Great job here ,Mark

Ahhh, it WAS the middle of the night. NOT FUN...but WOW..look what all you've captured.
This would also look good (I think, but who am I to speak?)if you cropped out the guy's feet at the top.......
Really nice textures, I like this absract!
Good job, Lori :)
