I'm reluctant to be on the other side of the camera. This was taken as the light was fading near inverasdale in the summer of last year - the midgies where about to make their presence felt!
Hello Martin, So nice to meet you and thanks for your comment on my "Flight into the light". It was hard to catch the bird with the camera and capture the beautiful clouds at the same time. It took me many shots and a lot of patience. I have posted "Magic sky" also, where you can see the sky and the bird from a further distance. Now about your selfportrait. Like many photographers I think you don't like to be in "the picture" yourself.... am I right? It really takes some courage to do that and then post it here. Many photographers edit their selfportraits, so you can only see some details of their faces. In a way I like that too, specially when the portrait shows some character, like the latest addition of Biliana Rakocevic. Why, are we all so shy??? You look great here in a beautiful surrounding and you have a lovely smile! I only wished you had shown your eyes.... they are the mirror of your soul. Well.... in a way you look like a "mistery" man now and that is interesting too. Keep taking your portrait... it is the best way to practice for good portrait-photography. My best regards, Diana.
