This is a splendid shot of a wonderful city. Your timing of this shot from a moving boat, getting the Eifel Tower framed so perfectly between the two monuments, is what makes this shot. The sky is wonderful, too. But although I am reluctant to "clone" things out of pictures, I think I would have eliminated the trace of the frame or whatever it is along the top right edge.

Thanks for replying, Margaret.

I was concentrating on the sky and sillhouette effect, rather than the foreground. I did'nt bother with photoshop tweaking with this one. But, both you and Carolyn, have given me the same advice about lightening the foreground, and your effort looks good. Can you edit a photo that you've already uploaded?

I've got a moody sunset for tonight's offering if you are interested. And yes, it was an amazing experience having some of my sight restored - the colours!!! Thanks for looking at my bio.

Colin this is such a lovely view and the sky is very nice. I wondered if lightening and brightening the bottom half you get more details out of the buildings - had a go - see what you think

Thank you for your comment - I read your bio and it must be so amazing to be able to see colour - and that image I put up is certainly colourful LOL :)

I think the only thing I would do different is to add more foreground to the overall composition.
The lighting is very good and the setting sun is beautiful.
Nice work, Colin!

Very nice colours and composition. I would probably remove the black in the top right as that distracts from the beauty of the image. Well done Colin and thankyou for your comments. Also a big welcome to UF.

Very nice shot. I saw the same sight on a different night with a different sky. This shot is difficult to achieve, and you did a wonderful job. I know the boat moves faster than you would like!
