Well done. Great composition. Take a look to my "girl". You and me are looking to the world with the same eyes :))

Thanks Ray - I did the conversion in PS as I find the Canon software painfully slow on my Mac, it may be different for PC users, I don't know. I am really learning my way around the RAW files but it is clear there is a lot more information than using jpegs straight from the camera (not that they are bad). For WB I am sticking fairly close to what the camera recommends although I tweaked this a little to get to what I felt was a fair representation of the shot - I am having problems with my printer so my only yardstick is what I can see on my monitor, I guess the variance in monitor settings and graphic cards will cause differences even if there was a RAW standard.
Once again thanks.

Huw,
I really like the composition and color in this image a lot, dosn't look like a white balance problem to me, just a matter of interpertation.
I do a lot of work in raw also. Used to use Nikon's converter to convert them, until PS CS came out, now use it exclusively, gives me a immense amount of control, and can do a lot of thing in the plug-in which I used to have to do in adjustment layers, like color correction. Are you using Canon's raw converter or did you do this in PS. Sure be nice if we could get a standard raw format across all camera vendors, like Adobe is pushing for.
Good work,
reguards,
ray

Thanks Sam - I shot this as a RAW file and as best I can tell with my computer screen this is how the shot looked with the naked eye. It was taken at night time and the synthetic lighting had a somewhat golden cast in the tunnel, which was what made the view seem more compelling to me.

The perspective seems to be very well under control and it is very nice to see the complete absence of barrel distortion... but, is the white balance ok?
