thank you for your comment svend. you're right, the scale does matter. through its magnitude, the force of individuality (gain or loss) will be implified. i was planning to show this at a mural size.

thanks todd. i wouldn't say mine has much more to offer at all. i see them alike in subject matter, but the difference seems to be more journalistic vs artistic to me. it's just interesting to see how 2 different approaches to the same story may alter how one sees.

This is an interesting picture and your commentary adds to the interest immeasurably. This sort of photograph seems to be about uniformity on the surface, but turns out to be about individuality on closer inspection (each apartment owner will have something individual and unique in a window or on a balcony). For best effect, I suppose this photograph would have to be large-format and made into a huge print, so people like me, who love to get lost in the details, would have something to pore over for hours. wonderful Mica! i didn't see this one until today...it has a certain similarity to my 'squarepusher,' but this image is has much more to offer in my opinion.
the massive scale is great, as are the little flecks of color that are thrown in here and there. truly stunning work. this looks like it was taken from a fairly high vantage point??
anyways, really fantastic work. this one goes in my favs! take care, todd
