Looking at your eye, I had a strange thought - it looks like pictures of galaxies as translated by the hubble telescope - remove the black hole (the iris) and put the color on a black background and you could pass it off as a new galaxy who knows what new worlds we would find...:)

I like the skin tone disolving into white, I think it makes for a more interesting image and is not cliche.

I don't think this is at all cliche. You've got unique patterns and colors to your iris, but you've got it a bit blown out and too much of the rectangular light showing compared to the professional images of the eye(s) I've come across.
