Thanks, Chad. This was one of those shots where I'm weaving about on the sidewalk, looking almost straight up... with just one eye open.
I start to see an alignment of angles, and will then hunt for the perfect angle.

I really like the angle and curve you show in this shot. Good to see Chicago so well represented!

Thanks, Olga. I have long held a love for architecture, and Chicago is one of the coolest places I've photographed.

Nice architectural abstract, Paul. Good angle, and I like the way the ped bridge seems to connect Big John to the round building. I'm sure they do but the angle makes it look "connected" and gives that abstract look.

Gotta love 'em when they just sit there and set themselves up real nice. Well done.

Oh, and in the Way LOY, this shot has been sharpened. That's camera framing that you see.
I'm really quite happy with this shot.

" me...on the sidewalk with only one eye open, and weaving back and forth as I look up."
I've seen you like that when you didn't have a camera...

Very elegantly described, Gary. Thanks.
More elegant than me "hunting" for this shot, certainly. Imagine me...on the sidewalk with only one eye open, and weaving back and forth as I look up. ;)
I nailed it, though. Yup.

A fine modern architectural image, the sun looks nice and low and I like the combination of curves and straights, especially the subtle inward lean of the tall building. And a hint of nature to remind us it hasn't all gone just yet. Regards, Gary

Hey there Paul, nice lines!! Great light on the curved building and shadows on the other, nice balance. I like the inclusion of the foliage too, makes the lines softer. Nice work indeedy :) cheers, Beks
