About I took this this morning on another of our drives. I liked the way this old barn seemed to be nestled in under that huge tree and at the base of the hill. Another title could be "Protected."

Looks like a barn for very short cows! Another fascinating old structure and your both titles fit it to a T.

Those trees do indeed look huge. Is this a setting you built at home? Looks almost unreal. The compostion is super.

Hi Kathy,
Very nice image that goes well in sepia or colour. I really like the shades of green that you guys get from the trees out there. So, It's a hard choice for me.
The thing that tips the scales to the sepia version for me is that the roof of the barn has much more detail in your sepia image. The colour version seems to have more glare on the roof. But, if you got the detail in the sepia, I'm sure you could adjust the colour one too.

Both versions are beautiful, but this monochrome is more elegant, let's say. The grandeur of those trees is dominating the whole shot. A very beautiful capture, dear Kathy!

A lot of titles could spring to mind for this lovely mono toned composition my dear Kathy. Those huge trees stand guard over that fine old barn, so absolutely dwarfed in their company.
I love the shades of green in the colour one but there is something magical in the tones of the main posting.....Hey....I'm a Libran...you want a decision? How long can you wait?:):):) Well done to you sweetie another lovely study to add to your barn series. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Hi Kathy, I do love both version, but I prefer this sepia
version, so artistic work. Great tones and feeling, so
peacelfuly atmosphere here! Absolutely nice scene with
lovely contrast, the light blooming tree and dark tones
onte back are great, strong contrast. Excellent effect,
love how to change the tones, it gives full vision
here. NIce photograph ans perfect work my friend!
Bravooo! Well done!

Have a nice day dear!

This is a good use of monochrome as it emphasises the deciduous tree. The highlights on the roof seem to hold more detail than in the colour version. I think it is a spectacular composition, Kathy! I really like the emphasis on the vertical dimension by setting a low horizontal - it is very dramatic!

Another beauty, Kathy. The majesty of the trees is brought out magnificently. I love this one.
Steve
p.s. I like this version better than the color one.

hi, on my monitor this has a darker olive green (brownish green) tone...i like the lighter tree in bloom mixed in with the evergreens and love how you composed...the proportions work well...
well seen and captured...has the appearance of sinking...regards,gayle

Very nice. It looks like it might be sinking into quick sand! I like how you chose to frame the photo with the trees looming above the barn. I feel like your message was about the huge tree and you conveyed it well with your photo! Well done!

very nice composition with the inclusion of the tree with fine details...
nice one Kathy!

Another good shot Sissy. I think I prefer the color version, just because it gives it a sense of "season" with the bright and dark greens. The sepia almost has an IR look about it, which is cool too, but the color works best for me, which is of course, just MHO! ) (I'm glad you put it in comments for comparison.) Well spotted!

Excellent composition here, Kathy! The vertical orientation really emphasizes the idea of the barn being "nestled" beneath those towering trees. I like the tones you've used, as well.

Hi Kathy, what a great shot! Sorry for lack of comments but I've been on a long break from UF for a while. Super composition with it's vertical format. Peaceful scene.

First word that comes to my mind is 'sheltered'. That is a peaceful scene. Tones and lighting are good. The contrast between the light leaves and the background is awesome.
