Don't tell me this is the view from your backyard is it? I've always wanted to live where I can see hills or mountains this close. All your backyard shots either back onto a forest or have such nice views as this one. Lovely splashes of light on the hills and great details in the trees. Nice soft movement in the clouds. This is a lovely scene to wake up to. Beautiful shot Kathy.

Beautiful composition with subtle tones, Kathy! I find the landscape composition very well balanced, between the amount of sky and the tree line, and I love how the tree line is taller than the mountains. This is a very classy color scheme of beiges and blues, and the bits of sunshine on the snow really add life to the the picture. I am impressed that you left the colors in the medium tones, very good choice, I would have have been tempted to jack up the contrast, but this is a very pleasant and sophisticated result. Well done! What an interesting division of colour, light and shadow Kathy. Great blues/greys on the mountains and sky with wonderfully sharp details in foreground silhouettes. I like the understated framing you've added too. Closes the image well, without taking center stage.
An image well worth hanging on your wall.
