Superb b&w Gary! The reflections add tremendously to the night's magic.

I think this is a phenominal image. The reflections are very nice. I also really enjoy your native american shots alot. Very good work I must say.

Good choice to go for black and white... it's a nice night shot... but it doesn't do very much for me, probably because I have to walk there 5 times a week! :-) It's well composed I must say, the crop in the left is just good... with a curve going from bottom left to mid right...

Hi Maggie,

The type of paper I use makes a difference. In platinum printmaking, I handcoat a platinum palladium metal salt emulsion using cotton watercolor paper or 100% cotton stationary paper. I use white, or ecru (antique yellow) and each have a different lumonosity. Cranes papers are what I use.

This image just glows Gary...does the texture of the paper make a big difference in the final look of the image..meaning that glow. Or would this image glow on any kind of paper that you used? ... *smile* Maggie

Excellent Gary, The long exposure has blurred the reflections in the water nicely and contrasts well with the sharpness of the buildings. Great tones too. Love it.

Stunning! Would love to have this on my wall. Sure hope I get a chance to shoot a harbor scene in BW at night! I would put a 1 pixel border on it first. The image needs to stand out against the framing.

Fantastic shot. The reflections in the water are so clear, really nicely done.
