Hi Gary,
I like the perspective on this photo, The receding arches give the whole picture great depth. The dark doorway at the end adds an air of mystery making one think.. what is behind the door, where does it lead? (but that could just be the nosey female in me coming out LOL) The lighting is wonderful as are the textures and composition.

7/7

Hugs
Sylvia

Hi Gary!
I wish I can rate 11 this beautiful platinum print image.
As I remember this image was published in Shutterbug.
Good luck Gary!
Your friend, Burim.

This is very nice. It's a common shot, but still nice. I like the tone.

Hello Miles,

Thank you for your comment on "Cloisters". The range of tones on this print is so great, that on half of the monitors I look at this image on, I can't see the detail on the floor. On others, I can see the detail very well. It has shown me that I need a computer with a better video card. In printing this image, the black door at the center of the image needs to be able to be seen. The perfect print allows me to see the door, and to see the detail in the floor. It is there in the print, difficult to see both ends on some monitors.

I love the subject matter here Gary. And I am always nervous of giving advice to anyone who uses a Wisner 8X10.
However on my monitor the floor in this picture is too bright and I can just barely make out the texture of the flagstone floor. If the whole image was just a shade darker it might just be more atmospheric.

Having said that, I am not sure what a platinum photographic print is.

Look forward to seeing more from that Wisner
Miles
