Thank you Sandra :) Comment greatly appreciated.

I used to put borders around my photos, though found in the past year that I prefer leaving a frame/border out of the end product.

Something that could be added, here though I think the framing may take attention from the image.

One of those things down to personal taste I guess... good suggestion though :)

Thank you Roby :)

A lovely comment & it made me smile.

Yes.. this photo does give the image of tranquility.. as you put it 'a little wind caress the sand' In reality it was blowing a gale (see other photo's... especially the one of my dog who got coated in the sand being blown at us.. lol)

The things we do to get our photos ;)

Thank you my friend
Hope you are keeping well & bright x

Many thanks Roby... not just for the comment but posting this one in the forum.

This was one of my favourites from that shoot... really liked the simplicity of this one so great to see it commented on again.

I've just mentioned on another comment how it is really nice to have some of my older work brought back to me through a comment... because with them I also regain the memories from the day the photo was taken... something that is very important for me, especially at the moment. So thank you once more Roby... always greatly appreciated :) x

Actually... looking again I find I really do like the colour one... though you are right in the colours being too close to the animals, they really are nice colours & do blend in well.

Maybe you could do a bit of PS magic & use selective colouring to B&W the background against the goat... however, I do like how this photo shows how animals can nicely blend into their surroundings :)

Ahhh... what a fantastic photo Doyle :) I have this thing about goats now :) & although this one is not sticking his tongue out it's definately a fantastic catch & you could not have asked for a better background here. Love the colour also but think the B&W is my marginal favourite of the two :)

Now must get back to reading your comment in the forum... hope you are well & bright x

As for the title I kinda like Russell's suggestion'The Pioneer Spirit' :)

Good luck in the competition x

The lighting here is gorgeous.

Have seen this technique quite a bit of late, however this one stands out with the mountainside framing from under & the light you have caught here :)

Beautiful capture
Well done :)

So many memories brought back to me with this... remember my dad bringing one home when I was young... we loved to play it (though deafend all I believe with our out of tune, made up ditties! lol)

Thank you for bringing back these memories to me :)

What a fantastic time piece!

This photo does not give a great sense of scale, though I imagine this is one large clock. Use of B&W here works so well on this subject :) love this

Sounds quite scary out there tonight!

We had to walk back over the golf course... no way of getting back along the beach facing into the wind... blooming painful! lol

Anyway... watch your camera if you do... was really worried about getting my lens scratched off the sand... kept my polorisor on though so my main lens was covered & kept it sheilded throughout. :)

Hope you're well Keith x

You have a lovely portfolio.. I've really enjoyed looking through.

I like this photo.. the toning is really nice here & I love the effect of the sunkissed water.

Some of the most special moments we have are the simple ones... really nice to share yours.

Keep well & bright
