Every once in a while I still like to try a few of these kind of images. Old trucks, abandoned houses, farms etc. They all seem to touch peoples heartstrings in some way.
Also interesting that you picked another image taken with my 40 year old lens.

It's nice to see you back posting again too. This image was taken using my 50mm lens from my old Nikkormat FTN camera that I bought in 1970. My first major purchase of any kind really. I still can't get over how well the lens performs after all these years.

I got some nice shots of his mate just before this one. I posted the male of the species due to the more outstanding colours. They were actually eating the blossoms.

You might not say that when I tell you that when we came back down this road one day last year, a large Black Bear met us by the side of the road. Luckily it was naturally afraid of humans and ran away very quickly. To fast in fact for me to get any pictures.

I originally bought the lens for shooting Auto Racing and Tennis. It performs beautifully for the distances needed for those sports. I added the 1.4TC for small wildlife. But, just like sailboats, there is always a bigger longer lens that we covet. :)
