Thanks Yee, This is a straight shot of a window display, with buildings reflecting off the glass. That's me, the shadow figure in the middle. It's interesting what kind of compositions you can come up with by using reflections in glass. The trick is to see and compose with two different planes of focus. Most of the time, if your subject is close enough to the glass, the reflection is sharp and defined on film as well. The same applies with water reflections. ^_^

It's made from a shot I took of a place called The Art Car Museam. My thanks goes to the artist that did the chrome and steel. I took the Velvia "chrome" and applied Photoshop and a Moth to get the end result. One of my favorites, I have more, it's part of a series of abstract's. Will list more later. Thanks for looking!

I love this shot, it's straightforward and honest. Crisp, clean. You obtained wonderful gradiations of tone and depth in black and white. The detail gives me the feeling of being very much physically present. Great photo.

Thanks for the comment, your right, the reason I Ieft the image in mostly tritone mode (Photoshop) was to convey a monochrome effect so the car lights would stand out. I wanted the rust to overwhelm the composition. I like the way the turn signal glows, and thats enough for me. Thanks for looking!

i found the thumbnail interesting enough to make me open your picture David...i still think you've chosen a nice theme and composed it skilfully, but the software treatment is not exactly of my taste...the selective coloring is a clever idea, but the 'rusty' effect is too much,in my opinion, and i don't find it appropriate on foliage and rubber too...it might be better if you had selected only the car to apply the filtering on,and left the surroundings unnafected...i see your primary intention was to distinguish the carlights from the rest of the image,so you may as well don't agree with my opinion, but i felt like writing it ;-) regards, kostas
