Nice tender shot, maria, you might want to consider cropping the tree in the background to the left.
Also, dont be afraid to use flash in the daylight...with this being backlit, the top of the head is getting some bright light. If you use a flash to fill in the shadow, you can achieve more even lighting. Regards.

Nice shot, maria, but I would have composed it slightly higher though, just a touch more sky above the tree and a little less foreground. I agree a nd filter would have helped here, ND is Neutral Density. It basically reduces the amount of light that can pass through the lense, and it would have cut some of the glare from the sun that is washing out the branch a little. Another option would have been to either reduce the exposure slightly, or to increase the aperture slightly, given that a deep depth of field is required on this shot anyway.
Thanks for your comment on my image, btw.

Nicely composed and executed silhouette with great warm colour, but I agree that the dots detract from the image...I cant make up my mind if it is dots on the water or if it is dust on the ccd. Shoot a clear sky at maximum f number and check for dots...
BTW, thanks for the comment on my "apollo", glad u like it.

I think I like this one a little better because of the nice colours, but the reflection on the snow in the other shot is great, too. Hard to decide, both good shots.

Good shot Ali, I really like this shot even with the sky being a little washed out. Thanks for the comment on my pic "Kangaroo"

Great shot, the inclusion of the tree limbs fills an otherwise ordinary section of the image well.
Thanks for your comment on my Harobour Bridge.

Wow, this is a brilliant shot, so well captured. The angle is stunning and the high contrast gives it a surreal quality.

Great light and composition, Gabry. I love the warm skin tones. It would also have been good if a bit of light was used to fill the face, maybe a small gold reflector. Nice shot.

I really like the composition of this shot, for whilst the eye is drawn naturally to the girl that is in sharp focus, there is a lot to look at in the other parts of the picture. Beautiful capture.

I like this shot a lot, the use of DOF and the tone is really good. The pose is very natural, and the eye is easily drawn to the man in sharp focus. well done.

A good portrait, the angle of the eyes adds interest to an otherwise standard composition.

This is a really good shot in its own right, and I actually think that it is more interesting in composition than either the full shot or the other half (they were food too, but this is better). The Skin tone is excellent, the eye is sharp and the crop is interesting and well balanced. Great work

Good creativity, Stace...I also think the 2 shots on the right are good in their own right, I would particularly like to see the one on the far right posted as a straight up portrait.

I like the use of the high contrast and even though some parts are slightly washed out, I think that it enhances rather than detracts from the overall effect. Good work.
