Looking at your eye, I had a strange thought - it looks like pictures of galaxies as translated by the hubble telescope - remove the black hole (the iris) and put the color on a black background and you could pass it off as a new galaxy who knows what new worlds we would find...

Very cool...good eye, compositon looks great, use of the limited depth of field works very well with this black and white image...keep posting.

I like the skin tone disolving into white, I think it makes for a more interesting image and is not cliche.

I don't think this is at all cliche. You've got unique patterns and colors to your iris, but you've got it a bit blown out and too much of the rectangular light showing compared to the professional images of the eye(s) I've come across.
