You're on a roll Phil, congratulations on this fine tribute! The low key works well here, adding strenght to a subject that's all about strenght.

Great job on the subtle toning with this Jeanette. Really a remarkable quality with the lighting, exposure and composition to capture the Newman spirit, particularly with the violin neck protruding as it is.

Another nice backroads capture Kathy. Those cows had better be cautious of using the barn poles as scracthing posts. I agree that this is better in color.

Way to go Phil! (you see,my advice worked) LOL Nice study of the 'Ranunculus'(learn a new word every day). I like the swirling motion of the bright petals around the detailed centers. Good job with the collage.

What a great photograph! He looks like I feel in a large terminal sometimes. LOL The main subject himself is wonderful in every detail- turned up trouser legs, fluffy travel bag & lion companion, pacifier, and "Dennis the Menace" hairdoo. A very good dynamic composition with the long wide hallway for the eyes to travel down, the interesting state of actions; by the man leisurely leaning against the rail talking on cell phone, the young boy in a state of...contemplation, the guy with handbags at a casual walk, and what looks like a couple doing quickstep to get to where they're going. Once again a coulple small elements add a lot to the overall photograph, that being the #4 and shiny trash can below it. All that and DOF and lighting that bring it all together. Very good compelling image.

I continue to have problems time to time. Some pictures come through great and others suffer, sometimes tones and other times sharpening. My suggestion would be for UF to set up posting with a preview before the final 'submit' button.

High emotional impact and very good crop to give the sense of isolation, as does the transition diagonally from low key to high key. Well done

All right, you had me doing a headstand on this one The inverted reflection is particularly effective for this capture. A strong abstract element from the painted diagonal lines, but I really like the detail and depth within the reflection with the dry pavement above giving enough visual clues to put it in perspective.

This is an interesting composition, containing many nice elements. Great shadow patterns on the grassy sand in foreground, the opening in the old fence that beckons you though to the center area of image, the bright pathway at waters edge, at which you take in the water and treeline, and finally the dramatic sky. I particularly like the mounds of grass at edge of water which the infrared effect highlights. The lines within the composition create a 'S' pattern for the eye to follow. I though it lacked a little 'zip' but I see you addressed that, perhaps a little histogram adjustment would return some vitality. Nice piece

Interesting compilation, it makes you think. The Beatle's song "Yesterday" comes to mind. Clouds overhead, BW...a longing look to sunnier times, of warmth. Good placement with her gaze dirrectly at sun. Nice work

This makes me smile, good eye and creative crop to get this image. I like these faded pastel colors and the paint missing from around some of the lights. The image seems to beckon of the '60-70's when girls dreamed of going to LA where the excitement was. (Hope things are going well with your Dad and family)

It looks like a bored photographer attacking another bored photographer But that helps promote creativity. I like this. You've done a really nice job balancing the contrast, noise, toning and focus qualities, but looking at this... an expert crop that brings one's attention to the eyes of the 'attacker' and then upon the 'attackee'. Nice lighting is finishing touch.
